Junior Brand & Marketing Designer

Pacagen, New York, NY, United States

Pacagen (pacagen.com) is a house of brands focused on disrupting consumer industries

through biotechnology-backed products built by our in‑house research lab. We are actively

incubating new technologies in the immune, inflammation, and consumer health spaces. Our

first brand helps with allergies to pets and dust that >70K customers use in our second year

on the market. Our second brand is launching in the summer of 2026.

We are a venture‑funded startup and founded by experienced entrepreneurs who have built

and sold nine‑figure businesses before. We are backed by some of the best venture firms in

the world (Maveron, Khosla Ventures, Mars) and are building a world‑class team together to

transform the consumer health industry as we know it.

Role Description We are seeking a highly creative, business‑minded designer to join our team and help shape how Pacagen shows up to the world across every consumer touchpoint.

This is not a traditional execution‑only design role. You will work at the intersection of design, marketing, and brand, translating science into compelling, conversion‑driven creative that resonates with real people.

You’ll be involved in everything from performance marketing and product storytelling to packaging and brand systems.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just make things look good, but understands

why

something works. Someone who can think from a consumer lens, has strong taste, and is excited to take ownership over how a brand looks, feels, and performs as it scales.

The right person will thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment, bring a high level of craft, and be motivated by the opportunity to meaningfully shape the creative direction of a growing portfolio of brands.

Responsibilities

Create high‑performing creative across digital ads, social, email, landing pages, and product detail pages

Translate marketing goals and customer insights into clear, compelling visual storytelling

Partner closely with marketing and growth teams to iterate on creative that drives conversion and engagement

Contribute to and evolve brand systems across multiple touchpoints, ensuring consistency and clarity

Support packaging, product launches, and campaign development from concept through execution

Bring proactive ideas on how to improve creative performance, brand perception, and customer experience

Stay deeply attuned to trends in design, consumer brands, and digital marketing, applying insights thoughtfully

Qualifications

Strong portfolio demonstrating both

design craft and marketing thinking

(not just aesthetics)

Ability to think strategically about creative; understands audience, messaging, and conversion

Experience designing for digital channels, especially performance marketing, is a strong plus

Clear communicator who can articulate design decisions and collaborate cross‑functionally

Highly detail‑oriented with a strong sense of taste and quality

Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving quickly

Self‑motivated, curious, and constantly looking to improve

Motion, 3D, or emerging tools (AI, etc.) are a plus

Who You Are

You think like both a

designer and a marketer

You care about how things perform, not just how they look

You have strong opinions, loosely held

You’re intellectually curious and want to understand the “why” behind everything

You’re excited by the idea of building and shaping brands from the ground up

Why work with us?

We’re building a new kind of consumer biotech company, combining cutting‑edge science with best‑in‑class branding and storytelling.

Our goal is not just to create effective products, but to build brands people genuinely trust and love.

You’ll be working alongside a small, high‑performing team with experience building and scaling successful companies. This is a place where strong thinkers and builders can have an outsized impact, grow quickly, and take on meaningful ownership.

Why NOT work with us?

This is a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment. We move quickly and hold a high bar. It’s not for everyone.

We care deeply about the products we build and the customers we serve. If you’re not energized by that mission, this won’t be the right fit.
