
Technical Sales Receivables Consultant – Treasury Management

TECHNICAL SALES RECEIVABLES CONSULTANT – TREASURY MANAGEMENT
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Support the delivery of advanced receivables solutions that integrate merchant card processing into invoicing, billing, and receivables automation workflows. Responsibilities include advising clients on payment portals, invoice‑based payment solutions, and industry‑specific billing platforms while coordinating integration with client accounting systems and treasury management services. The receivables SME will engage in discovery discussions with client/prospect/partnering teams, create and deliver strategic client presentations, proposals, and demonstrations, provide pricing recommendations and implementation support, and train the sales team on new or recent enhancements of merchant receivable services. The TSC acts as the bridge between the client, product team, selected vendors, and internal teams, facilitating timely communication and action on requests. Knowledge of all City National Bank’s receivables treasury management products and services is required.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead holistic sales discussion around all receivables solutions (e.g., Wholesale Lbx, E‑Deposit, Merchant Services, Cash Vault, Integrated Receivables).
Support the sale and implementation of selected receivables platforms.
Participate in monthly partnership meetings to review referrals, referred merchants, sales pipeline activity, and revenue from portfolio (e.g., Elavon). Provide internal visibility and engagement across all lines of business.
Collaborate with product, vendors, and internal bank resources to distribute internal updates with bank business line leaders, focusing on key referred merchant relationships & campaigns.
Work closely with product partners and selected vendors in the setup, features, functionality, and capabilities of the digital receivables platform.
Champion merchant solutions throughout the bank and lead efforts to grow revenue share from merchant card processing (e.g., Elavon).
Coordinate quarterly reviews of banker and customer‑facing marketing collateral and digital assets provided by Elavon to ensure compliance with the most current versions.
Assist in organizing and scheduling cross‑functional training sessions for CNB’s treasury management team and other applicable business lines.
Collaborate on ways to identify and datamine resources for lead development, dashboards, and cross‑sell activity (e.g., target activities around moving Elavon revenue/MID needle YOY).
Promote approved banker and/or customer campaigns by assisting in communication efforts, ensuring materials are prepared and distributed effectively.
Maintain a proactive commitment to established bank programs such as Customer First, the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), and Equal Employment Opportunity.
Comply fully with all bank operational, compliance and credit policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, CRA, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct).
Complete all special projects as requested.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of cash management sales experience in a financial services environment.
Minimum 4 years experience managing/supporting medium to large account relationships.
Additional Qualifications
Graduation from a four‑year college or university with a concentration directly related to the duties of the position.
Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management and technical services.
Additional knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market merchant solutions, along with card payment solutions preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to gather, arrange, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize, and evaluate information and data to identify sales opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommended actions.
Ability to set priorities, objectives, and goals.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of Salesforce and LinkedIn.
Thorough knowledge of the practices and regulations governing the banking industry and the implications of federal, state, and local regulations affecting payments and card activities.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $111,408 – $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
