Product Marketing Manager – Learning & Education

Role Overview & Objectives

This is a high-impact Product Marketing Manager (PMM) role within a large-scale Reputation and Brand Marketing organization, focused on the Learning and Education vertical. The primary objective is to strengthen positive brand perception by showcasing the platform’s usefulness and credibility in academic and traditional education environments.

Target Audiences

  • Students (High School through Early College / ~24 years)
  • Educators and Teachers
  • Parents and Caregivers
  • Education-focused organizations (e.g., parent associations, teaching fellowships, nonprofit education groups)

Scope of Focus

  • Academic learning: classroom instruction, homework support, test preparation
  • High-quality, curriculum-aligned educational content
  • Out of scope: DIY, crafts, and general hobby content

Key Responsibilities & Projects

Product & Narrative Leadership

  • Lead bundled product launches from a broad learning-focused roadmap
  • Own and develop the central Learning Narrative for major strategic moments and flagship events

Creator & Content Strategy

  • Partner with established learning-focused content creators to shape platform and content strategies
  • Ensure educational materials meet quality, credibility, and academic usefulness standards

External Partnerships

  • Manage and grow relationships with education- and expertise-driven organizations
  • Collaborate with partners to enhance trust, legitimacy, and impact in the education ecosystem

Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute major seasonal and awareness campaigns, including:
  • Back-to-school initiatives
  • Educator-focused recognition moments
  • Global education and children’s learning observances

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams including Product, Partnerships, Communications, and Legal
  • Present strategy updates and campaign outcomes to senior leadership (Director and VP level)

Candidate Requirements

Technical Skills & Tools

  • Presentation & Document Creation: Advanced proficiency in collaborative productivity tools for creating polished pitch decks and strategic documents
  • Operational Execution: Strong experience managing budgets, timelines, and work-back schedules using spreadsheet-based planning tools
  • Program Management: Ability to independently program-manage initiatives from strategy through execution
  • Note: This role does not require CRM systems or advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL-based platforms)

Experience & Background

  • Experience: 4–5+ years in Product Marketing or closely related roles
  • Brand Focus: Strong background in brand, reputation, or perception-driven marketing (in-house or agency)
  • Go-To-Market Expertise: Proven experience launching products or features to market
  • Industry Experience (Nice to Have):Education technology or traditional education
  • Creator-driven platforms or digital content ecosystems
  • Platform Familiarity (Preferred):Prior work related to learning tools, education platforms, or AI-enabled education initiatives
