Exempt/Non Exempt: Hourly
Hybrid work arrangement: Time in office and working from home; our Tampa office location is where this employee would handle day-to-day operations. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.
Position Claim Support Specialist – The Auto Club Group
Reports to: Casualty Claim Manager II
What you will do: Primary Duties & Responsibilities Assign claims electronically in accordance with established guidelines.
Recognize subrogation potential and refer claims to the appropriate area as indicated.
Update claims files to document assignments.
Review claims assignments within the assigned area to ensure proper load-balancing.
Perform quality control tasks to ensure the timely assignment of claims.
Monitor claim systems to ensure proper assignment of claims based on key identifiers within intake reports.
Notify management of system problems or potential issues.
Forward claim files to appropriate areas (e.g., Legal) as necessary.
Perform a variety of high-level support duties to ensure proper handling of claims.
Assist management in supporting department projects and research; compile requested information.
Gather information for management reports and create/distribute various reports and/or documents (e.g., agent workload assignments, open claims, agent attendance).
Enter, process, retrieve and/or correct data to ensure systems are updated and management has correct information to respond to inquiries.
Review claim files to ensure payments are disbursed to appropriate individuals.
Assist other staff in claim support functions such as typing correspondence/memos and responding to telephone inquiries during peak periods or staff shortages.
Answer customer/vendor calls and provide information as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

High school education or equivalent
Completion of ACG approved training program for the position
A valid drivers license if the primary responsibilities involve in-person inspections or frequent in-person meetings with members

College level coursework or equivalent claims experience.
Experience
Preparing claim files and diary entries
Performing salvage activities such as file preparation, processing of titles, arranging for vehicle towing and storage
Knowledge and Skills
Insurance processing, including understanding of policy/coverage terminology
Subrogation procedures
Homeowners claims
Bodily injury
Homeowners\ policy coverage/terminology techniques
Work Environment This is a hybrid work arrangement (time spent in office and remote). Depending on the employee\s role and leadership\s assessment, some employees will come into an ACG facility on a weekly basis, a monthly basis, or on an "as needed" basis for key meetings and collaborative activities. Most employees will be required to come into the office, at a minimum, for important departmental meetings or teambuilding events.
