Secretary To Athletic Director
The position of a Secretary to Athletic Director will be available immediately at East Central ISD. This position provides secretarial support, as well as assistance to the Athletic Director in the day to day operations of the District Athletic department. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining records for activities in athletics, arranging for transportation to events, scheduling facilities, scheduling officials, and performing a variety of other secretarial duties in order to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the District Athletic office. Duties and responsibilities include maintaining an open line of communication between associated Athletic Directors and coaches of participating schools, assisting Athletic Director in coordinating budget and bids for the athletic department, writing purchase requisitions on all bid and non-bid items, assisting with the development of the athletic calendar and all athletic schedules, notifying Athletic Director (if absent, head coach of sport affected), officials, central office, high school administration, league committee, security, and concession stand of any game changes, securing and selling of tickets for ECHS Athletic events, volleyball, and basketball games, handling all monies and preparing/maintaining written reports pertaining to the selling of any athletic ticket, assisting in monitoring expenses for coaches' clinics, assisting in arrangements of all Award Ceremonies, providing information for public relations connected with the Athletic Program, setting up online ticket sales and processing of reports, assisting Summer Programs Director and Athletic Director in processing camp registrations, submitting financial reports for all athletic camps, submitting and securing security at all ECHS Athletic Events, submitting and tracking maintenance requests, submitting transportation requests, maintaining and updating Athletic Marquee with current events, and performing other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include a high school graduate or GED, above-average computer and typing skills, good spelling and grammar skills, and the ability to perform duties with a minimum of supervision. Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals will be used. Mental demands include maintaining emotional control under stress and working with frequent interruptions. Physical demands include frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling/squatting, pushing, and pulling. Frequent walking and reaching. Frequent light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds or over) and moving adaptive and other classroom equipment. Exposure to biological hazards. Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise. May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional district wide travel. Period of employment is 226 days. Salary is Paraprofessional Support Pay Grade 304.
