Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO
Location: Houston, TX 77042 Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Hire Salary: $110K - $130K + Bonus (short-term incentive) LHH is partnering with a global, publicly traded organization to identify a Senior Executive Assistant to support the Chief Executive Officer. This role has recently been elevated to a senior-level position due to the scope, visibility, and complexity of the support required. The Senior Executive Assistant will serve as the operational partner to the CEO, ensuring the CEO's time, travel, meetings, and external engagements are executed seamlessly and strategically. This is a highly proactive role for an experienced EA who anticipates needs, exercises strong judgment, and operates with confidence in a fast-paced executive environment. Key Responsibilities
Proactively manage the CEO's calendar to align with business priorities Evaluate and prioritize meeting requests, serving as a trusted gatekeeper Build forward-looking calendar views with prep time, focus blocks, and travel buffers Anticipate executive needs without being asked Coordinate complex domestic and international travel Prepare detailed, executive-ready travel packets and itineraries Manage real-time travel changes and contingencies calmly and efficiently Process travel and expense documentation accurately and timely Prepare the CEO for internal and external meetings with concise briefing materials Coordinate agendas, prep notes, and background research Support PowerPoint presentations, formatting, and version control Ensure meeting logistics (AV, rooms, materials) are confirmed in advance Support CEO participation in customer meetings, site visits, and industry events Partner with internal stakeholders to plan purposeful external interactions Coordinate CEO-hosted dinners, roundtables, and events Track follow-ups and ensure commitments are closed loop Maintain action trackers and follow-through on CEO commitments Coordinate across executive leadership, communications, finance, and other partners Escalate risks early and help keep the CEO's office running smoothly Required Qualifications
Must have supported a Chief Executive Officer for a global organization 10+ years of Executive Assistant experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience supporting a CEO or equivalent senior executive in a global, complex, matrixed environment Proven ability to manage executive time, access, and priorities at scale Experience coordinating complex international travel and global schedules Ideal Candidate Profile
Style & Presence Calm, confident, and professional under pressure Comfortable managing up and pushing back diplomatically when needed Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Not easily offended; able to build trust and credibility over time Skills Exceptional calendar management and prioritization Advanced travel planning and logistics coordination Strong written communication and presentation support skills Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
