Position Summary: At Cabot Creamery Cooperative, we take pride in producing high-quality dairy products while supporting our farmers, employees, and communities. The Cheddar Room Lead plays a key role in overseeing daily cheddar production operations, ensuring product quality, food safety, and team engagement. This position supports production goals while fostering a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day operations in the cheddar room, ensuring production runs efficiently and safely Promote and enforce Cabot's commitment to quality, food safety, and sanitation standards (GMPs, HACCP) Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime Train, coach, and support team members to build skills and maintain performance expectations Serve as a point of communication between production staff and leadership Ensure accurate documentation of production, quality checks, and any deviations Support continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence initiatives Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications: Previous experience in food manufacturing or dairy production preferred Prior leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and make sound decisions Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 60 lbs Comfortable working in a production environment with temperature changes and moisture Why Join Cabot?
