
Architectural Drafter

The Architectural Drafter is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and construction documents to support design, engineering, and production teams. This role bridges concept and execution by translating design intent into detailed, build-ready plans while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and cost standards.
Responsibilities/Expectations: •
Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models from conceptual designs, sketches, and specifications •
Produce construction documents, shop drawings, and layouts for manufacturing or building projects •
Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility •
Revise drawings based on feedback, field conditions, and project changes •
Ensure all drawings comply with ADA guidelines •
Maintain organized drawing files, version control, and documentation •
Assist in material takeoffs, estimating, and project planning as needed •
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline drafting and modeling processes

Education and Experience: •
Associates Degree in Drafting and Design technologies or related field preferred •
Five plus years of drafting experience in an architectural or manufacturing environment •
Experience with 3D modeling software •
Understanding of current fabrication methods and materials •
Strong understanding of technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
