Revit Drafter / Designer – Residential Projects
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Revit Drafter/Designer to join our team, focusing on residential construction projects. The successful candidate will develop high-quality BIM models and construction drawings using Autodesk Revit, supporting architectural and structural documentation for permit submissions and modular/panelized building processes. This role requires strong technical proficiency in Revit and a solid understanding of residential design and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accurate 3D Revit models for residential projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
Prepare comprehensive architectural and/or structural permit drawing sets in compliance with applicable building codes and regulations.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other team members to incorporate design specifications, revisions, and coordination requirements into BIM models.
Generate construction documents, details, and shop drawings to support the design-build process.
Revise and update models and drawings based on feedback, site conditions, or regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform clash detection and model coordination to maintain high-quality BIM deliverables.
Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and documentation as needed for project execution.
Requirements
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit : Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience creating detailed residential models and construction documents (specific years can be adjusted based on your preference).
Residential Project Experience : Demonstrated experience with single‑family homes, custom residences, alterations, additions, or similar residential developments.
Permit Drafting : Experience preparing architectural and/or structural permit drawings. Proficiency in both is preferred; expertise in one area is acceptable.
Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and residential drafting standards.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines effectively.
Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Advantages)
Experience with modular or panelized construction methods.
Familiarity with panelizing software, such as Strucsoft MWF (Metal Wood Framer), for automated framing and panelization workflows.
Experience with Scottsdale software (or related cold‑formed steel framing systems and integrations with Revit).
Additional knowledge of related tools (e.g., AutoCAD) or BIM coordination practices is beneficial.
