
Product Marketing Analyst, (Fixed Income)

JOB STATEMENT :
Sterling Capital Management LLC (SCM), founded in 1970, is an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of Guardian Capital Group Limited. Headquartered in Charlotte, SCM provides investment advisory services through mutual funds, separately managed accounts, model portfolios, and other commingled vehicles offered through a variety of intermediary and managed account platforms. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, through a combination of market, technical and interpersonal skills, the Product Marketing Analyst, will be instrumental in the successful growth of Sterling’s fixed income investment strategies and their adoption in the U.S. investment management landscape.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Product Management:
Strong project and business management skills to take a lead role in ensuring effective coordination among sales, investment teams, marketing and other stakeholders in product management activities. Monitor the business performance of the product line. Identify and evaluate potential product development, rationalization or sales opportunities. Marketing : Create, build and maintain a unique set of marketing collateral, presentations, commentaries and other content to support clients and sales growth in Sterling’s various distribution channels and geographies. Accountable for the accuracy of technical information for business engagement documents. Strategic : Evaluate relevant industry trends, the competitive environment, client needs, investment capabilities and business requirements to enhance and develop product strategies. Collaborate sales, client service, and investment teammates to execute product marketing strategy while ensuring alignment with central corporate objectives. Analyze : Support product and overall business strategy as a product subject expert, including technical product knowledge and product profitability, product placement at partner platforms and key market segments and product competitive environment. Content : Responsible for owning and being the expert for investment product content. Create and execute effective processes to support product, sales and marketing activities. Develop reporting, including regular competitive analysis, to support product positioning and ongoing product line monitoring.
QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelors degree in finance, economics, or marketing required Completion or working towards CFA or MBA, preferably Strong analytical problem-solving skills and strong written and verbal communication skills Problem-solving capabilities including an ability to anticipate potential problems Strong knowledge of tools such as Seismic, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and/or Morningstar Direct. Ability to work independently but also the ability to develop relationships with other leaders who are stakeholders Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure Interest in, or familiarity with, fixed income investments and financial markets a plus Strong affinity for, and experience with, working in PowerPoint and Excel to create data-heavy presentations and reports on a daily basis.
