Insight Global is seeking a
Structural Designer
to join its
Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC)
organization, supporting factory and refinery infrastructure projects across multiple North American locations. This role works on both
greenfield and existing facilities , collaborating with cross‑discipline teams to develop detailed structural designs that integrate seamlessly with Tesla’s manufacturing and refining operations. This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact role ideal for a technically strong designer who thrives in complex industrial environments and enjoys contributing to innovative, large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Support the design and construction of new builds and renovations for industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities across Tesla sites Develop and manage high‑quality
BIM (Revit)
models, including 3D structural designs, plans, sections, elevations, installation details, and schedules Coordinate structural modeling with multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping/Plumbing (MEP) Assist in implementing and improving structural design standards alongside BIM/CAD support teams Support Lead Engineers and Designers by gathering information for RFIs and assisting with material takeoffs Lay out structural engineering solutions for
30%, 60%, and 90% design reviews Maintain flexibility to adapt to shifting project schedules and priorities
Qualifications ITE drafting certification or equivalent hands‑on experience Minimum
4 years of civil/structural drafting experience
for building or industrial projects Strong experience developing BIM content, including
parametric families, nested formulas, and type catalogs Expert knowledge of
Revit Structural
and proficiency with
AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam , and Microsoft Office Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision while supporting Lead Engineers and Designers Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet aggressive deadlines Self‑directed, adaptable, and comfortable working overtime when necessary
