Location: New York, NY A well-established real estate firm is seeking a

VP of Finance

to oversee accounting, reporting, investor relations, and operational finance across a diverse portfolio of investments. The firm owns and operates a portfolio of real estate assets across multiple asset classes and also participates in broader private investment opportunities. This role offers direct exposure to principals and involvement in both financial management and strategic decision-making.

Position Overview The VP of Finance will serve as a key financial leader, responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, investor relations, and operational finance across multiple entities. This is a highly visible, hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable owning processes end-to-end across a complex, multi-entity structure.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversee financial reporting across multiple real estate and investment entities Ensure accuracy of financial statements and internal reporting Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting processes Cash Management & Operations Oversee cash flow, AP/AR, and entity-level financial activity Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations Monitor liquidity and support financial planning Investor Reporting & Capital Activity Manage investor communications, including

capital calls, distributions, and reporting Prepare investor statements, K-1 coordination, and reporting deliverables Oversee

waterfall calculations and distributions Deal & Investment Support Support acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and investment activity Assist with transaction structuring and financial analysis Partner with principals on strategic investment initiatives Tax, Audit & Compliance Serve as primary liaison with external tax and audit advisors Oversee entity-level filings, compliance, and reporting Manage annual reporting requirements and documentation Budgeting & Strategic Finance Prepare and oversee operating and capital budgets Support forecasting and financial planning Provide insights to support decision-making Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 10+ years of experience

in accounting or finance Strong experience in

real estate, family office, or investment platforms Deep understanding of: Partnership accounting Investor reporting Capital calls & distributions Waterfall calculations Experience with

multi-entity structures CPA strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills required Experience with systems such as

Yardi, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to operate in a

hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
