Position Overview MMJ Electric is seeking a Senior Electrician with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to support our growing service operations. This role is primarily service-driven, requiring daily travel to a variety of residential, commercial, and occasional industrial job sites. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded background across multiple electrical environments, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality work, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
* Perform and lead service-based electrical work, including troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades * Travel daily to customer locations across South Florida * Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently and safely * Install and service: * * Electrical panels & service upgrades * LED, landscape, and custom lighting systems * Low-voltage wiring (data, phone, intercom) * Fire alarm systems & monitoring * CCTV, burglar alarm, security, and access control systems * Smart home and automation systems
* Support residential, commercial, and light industrial projects including: * * New construction and renovations * Commercial build-outs and tenant improvements
* Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations * Supervise and mentor junior electricians and apprentices * Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and solutions in a professional manner * Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites * Respond to emergency service calls as needed
Qualifications
* Minimum 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience * Strong working knowledge across residential, commercial, and industrial systems * Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred) * Proven experience in troubleshooting and service work * Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
