Monte Package Company, a Bunzl Agriculture Group company, is seeking a

Sales Representative

with proven sales experience and interest in growing their career. The primary focus will be responsible for creating, developing and driving sales within the following target markets: fresh produce growers, produce re-packers, shippers, food processors and distribution accounts.

The Sales Rep will be responsible for building customer relationships, handling customer complaints and inquiries, working with vendors on new and existing products, as well as working effectively with other team members to drive customer results.

Responsibilities:

Promote new products to existing customer base

Establish and grow new accounts

Sell into existing accounts value added products: custom print packaging, industrial bags, high-end flexible packaging, clamshells, corrugated, packaging machinery, labels, RPC labels, soaker pads, stretch wrap, etc.

Provide timely and accurate sales forecast to operational team to ensure inventory levels are up to date

Evaluate pricing to ensure and protect margins

Grow territory with topline and bottom-line results with the goal of adding additional sales personnel

Participate in industry functions

Work with management to develop marketing communications, including marketing collateral, promotional items, direct mail and websites

involved in the development of new designs and projects

Collaborate outside vendors on new materials and innovative packaging solutions with regards to produce packaging

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Bachelor's degree in business, Professional Selling, Marketing, or related field preferred

4+ years of inside/outside sales experience in at least one of the following markets: agriculture, food processing, produce packaging, produce re-packers, custom print packaging, corrugated, flexible packaging, clamshells is preferred

Required to work independently and set goals for branch development and success

Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and outside parties

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Moderate travel with overnight stays

Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Word and Excel
