Job Summary The Palms at Sebring, a premier senior living community, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team in Sebring, Florida. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful community, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all maintenance activities, including repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to buildings, grounds, and equipment
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of our facilities and reduce costly repairs
Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
Coordinate and manage vendors and contractors for specialized services and repairs
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards
Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair projects
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service to our residents
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
