Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Director of Distribution & Fulfillment to oversee end-to-end operations across multiple facilities in the U.S. and Canada. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, on-time order fulfillment, and overall profitability. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on experience in high-volume distribution environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage distribution and fulfillment operations across four facilities
Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals
Oversee inventory management, forecasting, and order fulfillment processesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability
Establish and monitor KPIs including quality, on-time delivery, and cost control
Manage operating and capital budgets for distribution operations
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors, and stakeholders
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, IT, and HR
Lead hiring, training, and development of operational teams
Provide leadership, coaching, and succession planning for team members
Oversee warehouse operations, shipping, invoicing, and container tracking
Report on performance metrics, financial results, and operational forecasts
Requirements
7+ years of experience in distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain leadership
Experience in high-volume, fast-paced distribution environments
Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and analyze performance
Proven leadership and team management experience (10–13 direct reports)
Strong project management and process improvement skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); AS400 experience is a plus
Availability for nights and weekends during peak seasons
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
