
KMCS Program Director

The KMCS Program Director will oversee KMCS, the station’s staff, website(s), on-air content, social media profiles, and all things involving KMCS.
Responsibilities
- Complete one, high-quality on-air shift per weekday discussed and assigned by the General Manager
- Collaborate with the General Manager and other staff on promotional ideas, music, on-air content, etc.
- Sell sponsorships and advertisements for KMCS including to but not limited to; their show, other dayparts, advertising, the station’s social media profiles, the website, and app where inventory is available
- Brainstorm ideas on how to brand KMCS in the community and on the air that aligns with the station’s audience, format, and values
- Conduct weekly airchecks with other staff on KMCS
- Meet weekly with the General Manager to discuss all topics in relation to KMCS at a time a date determined by the General Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Collaboration and Reporting
- The KMCS Program Director will collaborate and work with the General Manager, station staff, the sales department, promotional staff, and other employees of the company in a positive manner.
- The KMCS Program Director reports directly to the General Manager.
Position Details
- The KMCS Program Director position is an in-office position requiring them to come to the radio station during working hours determined by the General Manager. They will have a designated office space at 3218 Mulberry Ave., Muscatine, IA 52761.
- They will conduct themselves in a professional manner both in the workplace, during meetings with clients, over the airwaves, and at events.
