Summary
Applying proven marketing communication techniques, advance the Foundation’s mission by creating clear, relevant, and value‑driven communications that engage, inform, and retain members throughout their lifecycle. The position develops and delivers integrated communications across digital, print, and in‑person channels to promote educational offerings, member benefits, and strategic initiatives—ensuring members understand, access, and experience the full value of Foundation programs and services.
Responsibilities
Serve as the marketing lead for assigned educational programs, virtual events, and professional development offerings. Contribute to marketing plan development and manage multi‑channel promotional campaigns designed to engage members from awareness through registration and participation, including media planning, campaign/project management, behavioral‑based marketing management, copy writing, email marketing, webpage management, social media and coordination of graphic design and the creative process.
Develop and manage communications that support member recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and renewal. In collaboration with management, create targeted messaging that articulates the value of Foundation membership and reinforces ongoing relevance to diverse member segments – tailoring messages for different audiences.
Contribute to and support recurring member communications such as educational catalogs, newsletters, annual reports, webcasts, blogs, podcasts, videos, and social media posts.
Collaborate with Foundation meeting management, shipping teams, and external vendors to coordinate a branded organizational presence at internal educational events and external industry tradeshows. Manage logistics for booth and signage needs, print materials, and promotional items, ensuring a seamless experience at each event.
Develop copy for a range of Foundation products and services in collaboration with team members to support marketing objectives. Adapt tone, voice, and messaging to effectively engage target audiences and align with overall brand and marketing goals.
Utilizing the Foundation’s email automation platforms, support marketing initiatives with creative and cleanly built email communications. Leverage the Foundation’s customer database to target communications effectively and manage a product’s marketing communication campaigns as assigned.
Track and analyze ROI and KPIs of marketing and communication campaigns and make recommendations for improvement while using both online and offline data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for campaign improvements and workflow developments.
Support the broader business development team in market research, member service development, fostering relationships with key industry influencers, and coordinating special events and the purchasing of branded merchandise/specialty items.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No formal supervisory responsibilities; however, incumbent may be required to train/mentor more junior staff members.
Work Environment
Following a successful training period and pending each individual’s ability to effectively work from an appropriately‑equipped home office, per the terms of the Hybrid Work Policy, incumbents may be permitted to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, as business needs allow, in up to a 60/40 (onsite/remote) hybrid schedule. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays this position is expected to work from our corporate headquarters office in Brookfield, WI. This is an office environment with typical office conditions, including lighting, noise, seating and equipment. The Foundation reserves the right to modify or discontinue the current hybrid schedule at any time as business needs dictate.

Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field.
3+ years of successful experience in communications, or similar role.
Excellent multitasking abilities and detail‑oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
Demonstrated success in leading the creation of compelling experiences that promote growth and increase engagement.

Travel Requirements
The individual will be required to travel both domestically and internationally 10–15% of the time based on annual calendars. Generally, this will be 2–5 trips per year, each lasting approximately 2–6 consecutive days. For longer trips, the incumbent regularly works on each of the consecutive days, including during nights and weekends. Up to fifteen (15) additional paid days off work (“Comp Days”) are offered per year for mandatory travel‑related work conducted on weekend days.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee will occasionally be required to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach above shoulders, and move from place to place. While attending off‑site events, the individual will need to work for longer‑than‑normal periods of time (upwards of 10–12 hours per day) over consecutive days, which may result in up to 12 consecutive work days of varying length. The incumbent will regularly stand and walk for long distances and/or extended periods of time. The incumbent is regularly required to talk and listen and frequently required to sit and use hands for tasks requiring dexterity and/or grasping and holding. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. Additionally, when preparing for business trips, events and meetings, the incumbent will be required to unpack and assemble materials and equipment. Individual must be able to lift and maneuver crates and suitcases weighing 30–50 pounds; and occasionally up to 100 pounds in a team‑lift capacity. When attending trips, events and meetings, the incumbent will be expected to walk long distances and may be expected to stand for extended periods of time.
