Responsibilities As an Assistant Property Manager, you will help fulfill our mission of connecting residents to community. Typical tasks include:
Actively solicit business to achieve occupancy and rental goals.
Ensure prospective residents are reached through advertising, phone inquiries, leads, and property tours.
Lead property tours, showcasing all amenities.
Set the standard for staff engagement with prospective and current residents.
Assist in staff training and model effective sales techniques.
Lead rent collection efforts, including delinquency management and possible legal action.
Assist in managing the property’s budget to increase net operating income.
Maintain accuracy of resident ledgers and files.
Inspect units during move‑in and move‑out; walk units and community as needed.
Act as Property Manager in their absence.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years leasing or Assistant Property Manager experience.
Yardi experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, oral & written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking/problem‑solving skills.
Computer skills: Microsoft Word & Excel, internet, email, social media for marketing.
Exceptional communication skills with a wide range of people.
Experience with marketing and leasing initiatives for new development preferred.
Organized, detail‑oriented with good time‑management.
Flexible schedule to meet staffing & property needs.
Entrepreneurial mindset: loves challenges, client‑first, collaborative, inquisitive, self‑motivated.
High integrity: trusted, direct, truthful, confident, admits mistakes.
Physical ability to walk property, up to 4 flights of stairs, complete inspections, deliver communications, show apartments, drive to outreach marketing.
Maintain neat, well‑groomed professional appearance.
Compensation and Benefits Pay Range:
$43,500 - $57,200 plus eligibility for competitive monthly commission on new leases and renewals.
