Job Summary The Associate Director of Employer Relations is responsible for setting the strategy and developing programs that establish collaborative partnerships with strategic employers that yield full-time employment opportunities, professional experiences (i.e. internships and co‑ops), and campus recruiting opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. This lead position establishes employer‑related partnerships and activities in support of the University's Ready Day 1 initiative.
Responsibilities
Develop, supervise and lead Employer Relations team members within the Office of Career and Professional Development through effective goal setting, management and motivation.
Lead the strategic employer development strategy in support of Georgia Southern's Ready Day 1 initiative. Define the criteria for strategic employer engagement, identify specific employment partners, and build long‑term collaborative partnerships.
Establish strong faculty relationships with relevant campus stakeholders, including faculty of all colleges, to engage with employer partners to develop experiential learning opportunities for students.
Responsible for the data collection and reporting of all experiential learning taking place each semester on an institutional level.
Manage the Career and Professional Development non‑credit course student registration, faculty approval, and employer evaluations.
Promote and lead all on‑campus recruiting activities.
Manage and grow the Internship Scholarship Program expansion to provide student scholarships each fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Manage and grow Employer Partner Program.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Master’s Degree
Required Experience:
Four (4) or more years of related work experience including employer development and client management.
Consistently exhibit engaging customer service.
Ability to support various constituencies served by the University.
Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success.
Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills.
Demonstrated relationship management
etworking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
Six (6) or more years of related work experience; Prior leadership position in University career services.
Proposed Salary $68,000 - $70,000
Other Information
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work generally performed in an office environment.
Workweek may occasionally extend beyond 40 hours.
Travel may be required.
