Dealer Development Representative – New Jersey & New York Market

General Function Responsible for the generation and growth of volume within an assigned territory and maximizes Fifth Third’s penetration in that market. Provides remote customer service and training to dealership personnel, as well as maintenance and collection of dealer accounts (negative reserves, drafts, etc.). Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, ensuring actions drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain volume levels commensurate with assigned territory objectives.
Maximize penetration levels in dealerships through performance ratios by continually tracking applications, approvals, bookings, and quality of submissions/paperwork.
Identify and close key dealers that can be strategic partners.
Serve as liaison between dealers and each Fifth Third department.
Develop dealership personnel relationships through training, deal structuring, credit involvement, assisting in paperwork, and working deals.
Provide competitive information and intelligence – gather and analyze market data.
Participate and give input in pricing decisions.
Establish and maintain relationships with Dealer Principals and key personnel in dealerships via telephone and/or periodic travel to assigned territory.
Support cross‑sell opportunities.
Identify, suggest, and implement marketing opportunities and programs.
Meet timeliness of required reports and administrative duties.
Identify quality personnel for potential Fifth Third employment.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
High School diploma required or equivalent; some college preferred.
Minimum of 2 years Consumer Indirect Lending or related field experience.
Previous customer service experience required.
Must be able to effectively work with outside customers to resolve issues consistent with Fifth Third guidelines, policies, and programs.
Solid time and territory management skills.
Compensation Base salary range: $61,200.00 – $125,500.00 USD per year. The salary is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries will vary based on role, relevant skill set, experience, education and geographic location. The role is eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business and/or individual performance.
