Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager

Role Summary The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager is a key driver of quality excellence and operational performance. This role ensures that all products meet or exceed customer and regulatory expectations while using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve flow, eliminate waste, and strengthen overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership

Maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS). Lead all internal and external audits to ensure full compliance and uphold the highest standards across the site.

Process Optimization

Engage directly with production teams through Gemba walks and Kaizen events to identify constraints, streamline processes, and accelerate improvement efforts.

Problem Solving

Lead structured root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and A3 thinking. Collaborate across functions to address systemic issues and implement sustainable corrective actions while coaching teams to build problem solving capability.

Data-Driven Performance

Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and monitor key metrics including FPY, COPQ, and OEE. Use data insights to guide decisions, maximize yield, and drive measurable operational improvements.

Training & Culture Building

Equip production teams with essential Lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, Standard Work, and Poka Yoke. Foster a proactive “Right First Time” mindset and a culture that values continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Strong understanding of operational flow, waste elimination, daily management systems, and structured problem solving.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or ASQ CMQ/OE (preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel skills are a plus

Proficiency in Power BI, Minitab or similar data analysis software

Preferred Attributes

Comfortable spending more than half of your time in production areas engaging directly with teams.

Effective change leader with the ability to guide teams through process transitions; ADKAR training is a plus.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives from concept through results.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
