Position Overview ACS is seeking a Full-Time Public Adjuster to join our growing team in Wisconsin. This role is responsible for advocating on behalf of clients throughout the insurance claims process from initial evaluation through final settlement.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical claims expertise with a client-focused advisory mindset, helping individuals and businesses mitigate financial loss while navigating complex and often high-stakes claim situations.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage applicability and limitations
Conduct on-site inspections and assess property damage, including property and business interruption losses
Prepare, document, and present detailed claims packages with supporting evidence
Negotiate claim settlements directly with insurance carriers on behalf of clients
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the claims lifecycle
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners (consultants, attorneys, contractors)
Identify claim-related risks and contribute insights to broader risk management strategies
Maintain compliance with all state licensing requirements and regulatory standards
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in property insurance claims adjusting
Strong understanding of property insurance policies and claims processes
Proficiency with claims management systems and documentation tools
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to follow and apply guidance effectively
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, finance, or related field), but not required
Licensing Requirements A Public Adjuster license is not required at the time of application; however, candidates must be eligible for and willing to obtain licensure as a condition of employment within 30‑days of hire.
