Overview The Kanon Valley Country Club features a unique course that will both challenge a player with its expert design and relax them with the beautiful, sprawling Oneida golf scenery. The staff and PGA professionals work tirelessly to ensure the course maintains the standard of excellence it has established during the past four decades. Kanon Valley is hiring a Head Golf Professional to lead the golf operations.

Experience Required

PGA Membership in good standing (or PGA Associate actively enrolled in the PGA PGM Program)

Prior experience managing golf operations, tournaments, and instruction preferred

Strong customer service, leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Working knowledge of the Rules of Golf and tournament administration

Proficiency with golf management/tee sheet and POS systems (or willingness to learn)

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak season hours

Essential Responsibilities Employee shall perform the duties of the Head Golf Professional. Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Oversee the day-to-day golf operations, including tee sheet management, pace of play, overall member experience, the member's mansion, and beverage cart operations.

Hire, lead, train, and mentor golf shop staff and outside services personnel.

Organize and execute club tournaments, member events, and outside outings.

Work closely with the food and beverage operator to ensure outstanding outside outings and member events that include food service.

Provide a well stocked golf shop which the professional will own the concession.

Implement and ensure compliance with club policies, USGA rules, and best practices in golf operations.

Foster strong relationships with members to enhance their golfing experience and engagement with the club.

Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and provide feedback on course conditions to improve overall playability.

Execute accurate recordkeeping related to rounds played, revenue, and expenses.

Develop golf sales and net revenue plans and direct the successful implementation of such plans in accordance with established budgeting and revenue guidelines.

Create innovative player development programs, including clinics for junior, female, and beginner golfers.
