Steel Estimator with fabrication and steel erection experience.
Responsibilities
Review drawings, specs, and bid documents for structural steel projects
Perform material takeoffs and quantity estimates
Build accurate cost estimates for fabrication and erection (labor, materials, equipment)
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals
Work with project managers and operations on pricing, schedules, and scope
Identify risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities
Track bids, maintain estimating data, and support project handoff
Qualifications
5+ years of estimating experience in steel fabrication and/or erection
Strong understanding of structural steel drawings and specifications
Experience with takeoff and estimating software
Knowledge of fabrication processes, field erection, and job costing
Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction and without the need for current or future sponsorship.
