Role Value Proposition

MIM is seeking an Associate to aid in the due diligence, underwriting, execution, and portfolio monitoring of middle‑market private credit / direct lending investments in North America, sponsor‑backed companies. The middle‑market private capital strategy provides access to privately negotiated private debt investments supporting leveraged buyouts, refinancings, and recapitalizations across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, technology, business services, and industrials. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with a 27‑person team managing private equity fund commitments, equity co‑investments, and private debt investment assets. Key Responsibilities

Analyze and evaluate private debt investment opportunities and support the investment team in making informed decisions. Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of potential investments through all phases of due diligence, including business and industry research and quantitative analysis. Develop detailed financial models and perform sensitivity analyses to assess performance scenarios and capital structure alternatives. Prepare and present investment memos for investment committee review and approval. Monitor and track performance of existing investments and provide updates on portfolio company performance. Support quarterly review and reporting processes for the private debt investment portfolio. Assist in the evaluation and underwriting of private equity primary fund commitments and equity co‑investment opportunities as needed. Support fundraising and other team initiatives. Required Experience and Technical Skills

2‑4 years in investment banking, leveraged finance, private credit / direct lending, accounting, transaction advisory, or related experience. Strong analytical, quantitative, accounting, and financial statement analysis skills. Ability to construct financial models with proficiency in Excel. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills; proficiency in PowerPoint. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment. Initiative‑taking, detail‑oriented individual with a keen focus on performance and results. Preferred Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA highly desirable. Location & Compensation

Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. Expected salary range: $125,000 – $145,000, with potential eligibility for annual short‑term incentive compensation and stock‑based long‑term incentives. Benefits
