Position Summary
Skorpios Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Foundry Services Sales Engineer. As Sales Engineer, you will act as a technical liaison between our foundry operations/engineering team and clients, leveraging deep knowledge of semiconductor CMOS manufacturing processes and next‑generation wafer/chip developments to drive revenue growth and client satisfaction. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to support clients in optimizing their semiconductor designs and processes, ensuring alignment with our advanced foundry capabilities. You will work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, the Sales team, the Chief Technology Officer, and Senior Leaders to execute our global fab services sales strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead technical sales support and collaborate with clients to understand their semiconductor design and manufacturing needs, providing tailored technical solutions such as CMOS fab processes, mask designs, ALD specifications, bonding capabilities, and more.
Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that showcase our heterogeneous foundry capabilities, explaining how our processes meet client specifications for yield, performance, and reliability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial discussions, ensuring client stickiness and repeat business.
Identify and develop new customer relationships across semiconductor, photonics, aerospace, biotech, defense/military, sensors, and advanced packaging markets.
Work closely with internal teams, including process engineers and integration engineers, to align customer requirements with foundry capabilities and resolve technical challenges such as deposition, etch, lithography, CMP, ALD, bonding, and metrology.
Generate quotations and statements of work (SoW) for the Fab Services Business Unit (FSBU).
Meet with potential clients in person or over video and address their fab services needs.
Represent Skorpios at industry events, customer meetings, and technical conferences.
Stay up to date on emerging industry trends, material requirements, and process technology evolution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor foundry sales engineering, process engineering, or related roles.
Hands‑on experience in wafer fab cleanroom environments, with knowledge of deposition, etching, lithography, and metallization processes.
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including CMOS, analog, and specialty technologies.
Technical understanding and working knowledge of optical components and networking; device integration experience in semiconductor or similar fabrication is a plus.
Proficiency in analyzing process data and recommending solutions for yield improvement.
Knowledge of quality management in fab operations.
Proof of a track record in technical sales or key account management in the semiconductor industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse technical and business audiences.
Ability to deliver compelling technical presentations and negotiate contracts.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations.
Analytical mindset for interpreting data and solving technical challenges.
Willingness to travel (up to 30%) to client sites across the U.S. and worldwide.

Strong technical fluency in heterogeneous chip and wafer development; knowledge of photonics devices for optical communications is a plus.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance Requirements Authorization may be required to release covered technology to employees who are not U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or refugees.
