About the Opportunity Calculated Hire is in search of a
Title Escrow Funding Specialist
for our Fortune 500 Financial Services company.
Position Summary: The Title Escrow Funding Specialist is responsible for overseeing the final stages of residential real estate transactions by ensuring all closing documents are accurate, complete, and properly approved prior to disbursement. This role manages the funding process from authorization through balancing and distribution of funds, including issuing wires and checks, and coordinating the recording of legal documents. The position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of escrow accounting and real estate documentation, and the ability to collaborate with lenders, title teams, and internal departments to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant closings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review all executed closing documents and approvals to ensure accuracy and readiness for funding and disbursement
Obtain and verify funding authorizations from lenders, as required
Balance escrow files to confirm all financials are accurate prior to disbursement
Process and distribute funds via wires and checks in a timely and compliant manner
Coordinate the submission of signed, recordable documents for official recording
Monitor Positive Pay activity daily to identify and resolve any check exceptions
Support daily reconciliations and assist with additional accounting-related tasks as directed by management
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in multi-state fundings, preferably for a national title agent
Possess and understand escrow accounting requirements
Knowledgeable of real estate transaction documentation
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Understand the key touch points of a residential title and closing transaction
Ability to be the primary point of contact to assist and resolve escalated issues
Working knowledge of title industry systems and software
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SoftPro/Resware/Pyramid/Salesforce
