Position Title Foundation Driller
Job Summary The Division of Engineering Services (DES), Geotechnical Services (GS) seeks a Foundation Driller to work in the Office of Geotechnical Support (OGS). Under the supervision of a Senior Engineering Geologist or a Senior Transportation Engineer, or the direction of a Foundation Driller Leadworker, the Foundation Driller performs foundation exploration drilling operations throughout California, requiring frequent statewide travel. Possession of a valid California Class B commercial driver’s license is required.
Special Requirements
Valid California Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with full disclosure of number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions.
Must pass a drug screening prior to hire.
Must obtain and present a valid driver’s license when operating state‑owned or leased vehicles.
Salary $5,511.00 – $6,343.00 per month, plus applicable state benefits.
Work Location Sacramento County; in‑office (no telework).
