Analyst, Muni Client Portfolio Manager

The Client Portfolio Manager, Muni supports the firm's institutional taxable municipal clientele. This role is specifically designed for an individual who will develop into a fixed income subject matter expert with a deep specialization in the taxable municipal bond market. It is important that candidates understand this is an institutional client-facing role with a focused mandate in the taxable municipals space. Working independently with general supervision, this position is responsible for fielding questions from external institutional clients, compiling portfolio information, and drafting portfolio and market presentations.

Due to the international nature of this role, occasional participation in client calls during non-business hours, including evenings, may be required from time to time over the course of each quarter, but is not a routine weekly expectation.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Supports existing institutional clients by responding to inbound account-level inquiries as they concern portfolio holdings, performance, performance attribution, and the broader macro and fixed income environment, with particular emphasis on the taxable municipal bond market.

Creates, analyzes, and reviews prospective client portfolios and communicates the various aspects of portfolio implementation, drawing on deep expertise in taxable municipal fixed income strategies.

Maintains and supports relationships internally with Portfolio Managers, Research, and Trading teams, reviewing account-level information regarding portfolio details such as holdings, performance, and performance attribution.

Supports partnerships with Marketing by reviewing and assisting with content creation, ensuring accuracy and relevance as it pertains to taxable municipal fixed income.

Prepares and assembles client presentation decks for both existing client meetings and prospective client engagements, ensuring materials are thorough, accurate, and reflective of the firm's taxable municipal fixed income capabilities.

Participates in both client and prospective client calls and presentations, serving as a subject matter expert in the taxable municipal fixed income space, with occasional after-hours availability required from time to time given the international nature of the client base.

Coordinate and complete month-end and quarter-end deliverables, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.

SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of fixed income experience

FINRA series 7 and series 63 or the ability to obtain within 180 days from start date

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of municipal fixed income experience

Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the quantitative aspects of financial markets, with an intellectual curiosity for data-driven analysis as it pertains to fixed income and the taxable municipal bond market.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while collaborating effectively across teams and with both internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

Base Pay Range $92,200/yr - $129,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
