Our position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000, paid in two equal installments of $2,500 each after 90 days of employment and upon completion of the probationary period.
About This Role Our team provides evidence‑based, client‑centred services that assist individuals in successfully obtaining and maintaining competitive employment in the community. As an Employment Specialist, you will manage a diverse caseload and use creativity and problem‑solving skills to support clients and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, counseling, or related human services.
1–2 years of experience in the delivery of human services for adults with serious mental illness (SMI).
Preferences
Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, counseling, or related human services.
Experience in the delivery of human services for adults with serious mental illness (SMI).
Experience working in an agency providing behavioural healthcare.
Experience providing vocational services to adults diagnosed with SMI, co‑occurring disorders, adults on the autism spectrum, and mild intellectual disabilities.
Understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Experience working with the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS).
Experience collaborating with the business community.
Experience managing very active caseloads requiring high organisational skills and working independently in the community.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Work Incentive Specialist Advocate Certification.
Experience working with school counselors or student pre‑employment services.
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s licence.
Must pass a DMV record check.
Must pass a TB test.
Offer of employment contingent upon passing a fingerprint‑based national criminal history record check.
Certification in First Aid and Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation, as required.
Child Protective Services requirements: effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioural Health and Developmental Services (rules and regulations for licensing providers, related to criminal registry checks, and a search of the registry of found complaints of child abuse and neglect maintained by the Department of Social Services).
Work Schedule Monday–Friday; occasional evenings and weekend hours to support client employment success.
Hiring Salary Range $76,069.50 – $104,676.00
