The Opportunity Sun Title is seeking a detail‑oriented Commercial Escrow Processor / Post Closing Specialist to join our Commercial Department in Grand Rapids. This role is for someone who takes pride in precise, accurate work and wants to build a career in commercial real estate title. You will work alongside experienced Commercial Escrow Officers on complex transactions, gaining hands‑on expertise with a direct pathway to the Escrow Officer role. What You’ll Do
Transaction Review – Review purchase agreements and real estate documents, enter key details into SoftPro Select, and identify potential title issues requiring resolution.
Document Preparation – Prepare closing documents – deeds, discharges, powers of attorney – with meticulous accuracy on every file.
Funds Management – Process wire transfers, earnest money deposits, and post‑closing disbursements; verify funds using CertifID.
Quality Assurance – Confirm all post‑closing procedures are complete, documents are correctly recorded, and closing packages are distributed to all appropriate parties.
Client & Co‑Worker Communication – Coordinate with Escrow Officers, lenders, attorneys, and other transaction parties in a professional and precise manner throughout each file.
Software Utilization – Work daily in ResWare, SoftPro Select, and Microsoft Office 365 to manage files, documentation, and communication.
Teamwork – Support the Commercial Department Manager and Escrow Officers, participate in company initiatives, and contribute to a high‑performing team.
What We’re Looking For
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
High school diploma or GED required; higher education degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
Two or more years of related office experience preferred; title, real estate, banking, or mortgage industry knowledge is a plus.
Basic proficiency in title industry software (ResWare, SoftPro Select) preferred.
Valid Notary Public commission required within 30 days of hire.
Valid Title Producer’s License, as required by Michigan law, required within one year of hire.
Valid driver’s license required.
