Housing Specialist
to join our Resident Services team. This is a meaningful opportunity to help create stronger, healthier, and more connected communities by supporting residents in SHE’s rental housing.
As a
Housing Specialist , you will play a key role in identifying resident needs and connecting families with valuable programs and resources. From educational classes and health services to youth programs and community partnerships, you will help ensure our residents have the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator, highly organized, and passionate about community building. You thrive in collaborative settings, enjoy presenting to groups and building partnerships, and can balance multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
Assess and document resident needs across SHE rental communities
Develop, coordinate, and oversee programs such as ESL classes, health services, and after-school programs
Collaborate with community partners to expand access to existing services and resources
Research and apply for funding opportunities to support resident service programs
Prepare proposals, reports, and other written materials for funders and stakeholders
Represent SHE professionally with residents, community groups, and partners
Must Haves
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience working with diverse populations
