Brief Description:

Responsibleforcreatingandmaintainingprecisiontools,dies,andmoldsusedinmanufacturing processes, requiring ablendofmechanicalknowledgeandproblem-solvingskills. Job Responsibilities:

DesignandFabrication:Createprecisiontools,dies,molds,andfixturesbasedonengineeringspecificationsandblueprints. MachineryOperation:Operateandmaintainvariousmachines,includinglathes,millingmachines,andgrinders,toshapeandfinishpartstoexactdimensions. QualityControl:Useprecisionmeasuringinstruments,suchasmicrometersandgaugeblocks,toinspectandensurethequalityoffinishedtoolsandcomponents. Collaboration:Workcloselywithengineers,machinists,andproductionteamstoensuretoolsmeetfunctionalrequirementsandproductionefficiency. Troubleshooting:Identifyandresolveissueswithtoolsandequipment,recommendingrepairsormodificationsasnecessary. Maintain accurate records of tool designs, modifications, and maintenance activities. Education/Credentials:

RequiresahighschooldiplomaorGED,withadditionaltrainingoranapprenticeship intoolmaking orarelatedfield. TechnicalSkills:Proficiencyinreadingandinterpretingtechnicaldrawingsandblueprints,aswellas experiencewithCAD(Computer-AidedDesign)software. AttentiontoDetail:Strongfocusonprecisionandquality,withtheabilitytoworkwithtighttolerances. Capability to perform manual tasks and operate machinery safely. Working in a manufacturing setting exposed to machinery and tools. The role can involve standing for long periods and may require heavy lifting of materials. Safety protocols are essential to ensure a safe working environment.
