Senior Provider Contracting Professional The Senior Provider Contracting Professional initiates, negotiates, and executes physician, hospital, and other provider contracts and agreements for a health‑insurance organization. Responsibilities include managing moderately to highly complex contracting issues, performing in‑depth analyses of variable factors, analyzing financial impacts of contract terms, communicating payment structures and reimbursement rates to providers, keeping contracts and documentation updated in a tracking system, and assisting with provider recruitment to support network composition. The role influences departmental strategy and makes independent decisions on complex technical issues without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Five or more years of progressive network management experience, including hospital contracting and network administration within a healthcare company

Experience negotiating managed‑care contracts with large physician groups, ancillary providers, and hospital systems

Proficiency in analyzing, understanding, and communicating the financial impact of contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree

Experience with ACO/Risk contracting

Experience with Value‑Based contracting

Residency in MO, KS, IA, IL, NE, MN, or WI

Remote‑Work‑At‑Home Requirements

Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection preferred

Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be used only if approved by leadership

Employees located in CA, IL, MT, or SD will receive a bi‑weekly payment for internet expense

Company will supply telephone equipment suitable for the position

Employees must work from a dedicated space free of interruptions to protect PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: This is a remote position; occasional travel for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40 hours per week

Pay Range:

$78,400 – $107,800 per year (compensation may vary by location and individual qualifications). Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
