Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Carpenter based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Lead Carpenter will oversee and execute various exterior projects, including reading blueprints, performing framing work, and completing precise finish carpentry tasks. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, problem‑solving on‑site, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and managing project timelines. Additionally, the Lead Carpenter will coordinate with team members to maintain a safe and organized workspace while delivering exceptional results to clients.
Qualifications
Comprehensive skills in Carpentry, including expert-level experience in both rough and finish carpentry
Proficiency in using Power Tools and Hand Tools to perform a range of construction and woodworking tasks
Experience and capability in Framing and structural assembly work
Detail‑oriented skills for precision tasks, including Finish Carpentry for cabinetry, molding, and custom furniture
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong organizational and project management skills
Commitment to safety standards and best practices in the workplace
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in carpentry are a plus
Previous leadership experience in carpentry projects is strongly preferred
