Future Opening: Residential AV Sales Consultant

We are seeking experienced AV Integration Sales Consultants to drive sales and deliver an exceptional experience to our customers. HTS’ focus is primarily on the luxury residential market. However, HTS current has, and seeks to gain new commercial clients as well. HTS currently serves Charlotte, NC and the surrounding areas.

HTS sells and installs products for music, movies, automation, surveillance, and security. Projects are both new-construction based as well as retrofit in nature. Product sales typically also require installation services. These projects require the sales consultant to be knowledgeable of the equipment being sold as well as standard construction techniques, procedures and standards.

Successful sales consultants are great listeners, who value being solid consultants. They have the rare combination of being great with people and also having a high aptitude/passion for technology in the home. Some leads will be organic via various marketing media, Google searches, and showroom appointments. The highest producing sales consultants will hunt for leads among builders, remodelers, architects, and designers.

Position Purpose

Generating new client leads and increasing the existing client base through active sales.

Maintain and improve existing customer relationships while interacting with customers on a daily basis.

Position Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of HTS products & services.

Work with sales and marketing team members to develop strategic plans and accomplish sales goals.

Work with the sales and design team members to build audio, video, and home theater solutions that engage customers and drive profitability.

Generate and deliver client proposals and presentations.

Drive repeat business by providing excellent service and thorough product knowledge to customers through relationship building and solution-based sales.

Keep customers informed on the status of their project, reconcile errors in a cost‑effective manner, resolve post‑order issues such as returns and follow up to ensure all customer needs are fulfilled.

Meet with customers at each stage of the sales process to close the sale, answer questions and provide follow‑up instruction. Provide technical consultation for all aspects of our products, solution and service offerings.

Represent the company with a professional demeanor and clean, professional appearance.

Position Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of A/V sales experience. Must have sold within the last 2 years

Ability to take initiative, and multi‑task

Reliable - Show up early, do what you say you will, be someone we can count on.

Must be a team player. Focus on setting others up for success.

Strong written and oral communication skills

Must possess computer skills and have working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and CRM.

A passion for high‑performance audio, video and technology integration

Problem solving and solutions based sales approach.

Flexible and adaptive

Organized and detail oriented.

Location – Charlotte, NC

Job Type – Full Time

Pay – Base + Commission

Salary range – $65k–$150k
