Our client is looking for a
Junior Legal Counsel
who will be responsible for supporting the United States Business Unit by preparing and executing various contracts, conducting legal research, assisting with negotiations, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations for projects including Copper World and Mason. This role is for a hands-on Junior Legal Counsel who takes ownership of contract management and risk mitigation, works with minimal supervision under mentorship, and applies strong analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced mining environment. This position serves as a key support role on the legal team, providing contract oversight, regulatory support, and litigation assistance while collaborating across departments to drive reliable outcomes.
Requirements
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state, or have sat for/be scheduled to sit for the next available Bar Exam. Candidates not yet admitted to the Arizona Bar must be willing to obtain their Arizona License within one year of hire. 0-2 years of legal experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and legal research platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in drafting clear, concise, and legally sound documents. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategies and solutions.
