Description Our client, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting historically underserved communities, is seeking a Senior Director of Development and Fundraising to join their team in Addison, TX. This person will oversee and connect all major fundraising functions including Mission Advancement, Planned Giving, Grants and Corporate Sponsorships, and Digital and Design. Overseeing a team of four, you’ll focus on driving diversified and sustainable revenue growth. This is a highly visible role that blends strategy with execution. They need someone who can set the vision but also step in and actively build, optimize, and scale campaigns. The organization is in a strong position financially, with most of the funding coming from private sources, which provides stability and less reliance on federal funding shifts. This will not be the right fit for someone who has only worked on traditional fundraising channels. They are specifically looking for a leader who has incorporated digital strategies such as paid social, email marketing, and multi‑channel campaigns to reach and engage a broader, more modern donor base. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining strong work‑life balance and hybrid flexibility, with a clear path toward a Vice President of Development role.
Responsibilities
Lead the development team (4), driving accountability, performance, and alignment
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow the donor database
Partner cross‑functionally to create compelling campaigns and donor‑facing content
Strategize opportunities that drive revenue growth leaning on digital channels
Build and optimize a multi‑channel donor journey to increase retention and lifetime value
Oversee CRM and fundraising systems to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and alignment
Collaborate with Programs to expand in‑kind and mission‑aligned revenue opportunities
Implement and enhance systems to track, analyze, and optimize all fundraising activities
Engage and support the Board and Development Committee to increase participation
Manage timelines, campaigns, and grant processes, including tracking tools and execution
Establish KPIs, benchmarks, and reporting frameworks, analyzing performance vs. goals
Deliver data‑driven insights and recommendations to leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
10+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience required
Experience leading and developing high‑performance teams required
Strong background in private fundraising (individual donors, corporate partnerships, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with digital fundraising strategies required
