Position Overview The
Human Resources Business Partner
(HRBP) reports to the Director of Human Resources and serves as a strategic HR consultant, overseeing HR operations for a designated group of employees. The role partners with the HR Director to drive employee relations strategy, organizational effectiveness, engagement, performance management, talent acquisition, retention and recognition initiatives. The position requires 50‑60% travel within Missouri, with remote work when not traveling.
Responsibilities
Coach and consult branch management and employees; provide ongoing coaching and development.
Support Talent Acquisition recruitment strategies.
Recommend employee relations practices to foster a positive employer‑employee relationship.
Conduct investigations of employee complaints.
Advise managers on progressive discipline system and performance improvement processes.
Review, guide and approve recommendations for employment terminations.
Support union‑free initiatives.
Lead process improvement initiatives across the organization.
Contribute to HR team leadership and management development programs.
Participate in HCMS, LMS and ATS initiatives.
Contribute to pulse and engagement surveys.
Develop an employee‑oriented company culture focused on quality, continuous improvement and high performance.
Collaborate with the Total Rewards team to communicate compensation and benefits programs.
Assist in diversity, equity and inclusion strategies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years progressive leadership experience as an HR Business Partner.
Active affiliation with HR networks and ongoing community involvement preferred.
Process improvement certification in lean or other quality‑focused organizations.
High service mindset and results focus.
Strong leadership acumen for developing team members.
Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
Excellent organizational skills.
Remote/virtual candidate in supported state(s) with up to 60% travel.
Ability to pass DHS background study.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in HR or Business.
PHR/SPHR certification.
Experience with Change Management.
Healthcare environment experience.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds.
