Overview BRMi is seeking a Senior Product Owner to support our client’s Real Estate Lending business unit. This individual will oversee new product and feature enhancements, plan and direct activities to ensure the timely delivery of reliable and efficient solutions aligned with business needs, and develop acceptance criteria to ensure the final product meets customer requirements.

Salary: 95k-115k

Hybrid 3 days a week onsite in Vienna, VA

6 month contract with the posibility of extension

Responsibilities

Coordinate dependencies with other POs and work across teams to define and implement improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality

Work with other POs and leadership to help shape the product vision and enumerate high-level priorities

Act as liaison between stakeholders and the team

Drive product delivery through keen understanding of the customer, mission, and product requirements

Develop the team roadmap and support the team as needed to deliver on commitments

Communicate with other Product Owners and Scrum Masters, program leadership, customers, and development teams

Work in Agile methodology, write product requirements/Epics/user stories in ADO, and ensure story Readiness and Acceptance Criteria

Working with UX/UI and getting designs updated for upcoming sprints

Manage product backlog – Manage, adjust for risk, and prioritize product backlog with the focus on execution for at-least 2 sprints

Backlog refinement – Lead backlog refinement to deconstruct, refine and estimate stories, add acceptance criteria and enable long range technical planning

Be available for the team in all Scrum ceremonies meetings including standups, retrospectives, and demos

Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities

Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery

Drives value to the business by building, managing, and maintaining Product Backlog(s)

Builds a Product Backlog and reviews it with business owners to determine business value and to assign priority

Provide coaching to team members who are new to Scrum and Agile practices

Act as a liaison between the team and management as well as a liaison between the team and the customer/end users

Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management or related fields or the equivalent combination of education, training, or experience

3+ years of experience functioning in a fast-paced Product Owner or similar role

Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner Product Manager (POPM) or equivalent PO certification

Strong leadership experience with focus in project management and scheduling

Demonstrated experience implementing and executing Agile principles with strong digital and technical skills

Agile software development lifecycle knowledge

Desired – Experience in software development using .Net and modern web frameworks

Desired – Experience with software development and/or QA testing

Desired – Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)

Desired – Experience in mortgage industry

Desired – 3+ year experience working with Pega

Desired – Pega Business Architect Certification (PCBA)
