
Senior Paralegal

The Position
As the Senior Paralegal, you will carry substantive responsibility as you collaborate with colleagues across our firm’s practice areas: white‑collar criminal defense, federal government and regulatory investigations, complex commercial litigation (primarily defense‑side), and corporate internal investigations.
Responsibilities Discovery Management & Fact Development
Manage the full e‑discovery lifecycle by directing collections and coordinating e‑discovery hosting, primarily on Relativity and Goldfynch. Review documents to craft case narratives, chronologies, and identify exculpatory material.
Litigation Support
Assist in drafting motions, pleadings, and memos. Format, cite‑check, and Bluebook filings. Prepare tables of contents and tables of authorities. E‑file via CM/ECF or state court portals.
Administrative Support
Manage case files and handle day‑to‑day office responsibilities, including incoming office calls.
Corporate Investigations
Support internal investigations, including document preservation and collection, document review, and witness interview preparation.
Trials
Manage exhibits, coordinate witness logistics, and provide courtroom support using trial‑presentation software.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA‑approved Paralegal Certificate.
4+ years as a litigation paralegal at a law firm, state or federal public defender’s office, or state or federal prosecutor’s office.
Working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Criminal/Civil Procedure.
Proficiency with CM/ECF, state court e‑filing portals, and Westlaw.
Fluency in cite‑checking under Bluebook citation rules.
Substantive experience with e‑discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Goldfynch, DISCO, Everlaw).
Proficiency with digital forensics tools (e.g., Cellebrite Reader, ModeOne).
Clear writing.
Experience maintaining contemporaneous time entries.
Preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage overlapping deadlines with composure.
A curious, resourceful mindset and a desire to take on responsibility.
Ability to quickly absorb new case files, unfamiliar court rules, and shifting priorities.
Trial experience.
Experience handling large discovery productions, assisting with document reviews, building complex search queries, and identifying critical evidence across productions.
Experience reviewing discovery from federal law enforcement (e.g., FBI, IRS, DHS).
Familiarity with federal sentencing, including Guidelines calculations, PSR analysis, variance and departure arguments, and sentencing data analysis.
Experience using AI tools to locate key facts from large document sets.
Experience fact‑gathering, including making public‑records requests, conducting witness interviews, or coordinating with private investigators.
Expertise in leveraging Excel (including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data modeling) to synthesize large‑scale datasets.
Proficiency with trial presentation platforms (e.g., OnCue).
