
Auto Property Damage Claims Specialist

We are seeking an experienced First & Third Party Property Damage Claims Specialist to join our team. This role involves investigating, evaluating, and resolving auto property damage claims efficiently and fairly.
Positions available in Bedford Park, IL and Oak Brook, IL.
Duties & Responsibilities
Review and determine course of action on assigned files using technical knowledge.
Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate documentation of coverage, liability, status, and damages.
Honor, decline, or negotiate first and third party liability claims after coverage and damage analysis.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to develop evidence and establish facts on claims.
Organize, plan, and prioritize work activities to ensure timely completion of claims.
Prepare and present claim evaluations to the appropriate settlement authority.
Notify the Underwriting Department of any adverse information discovered during investigation.
Familiarize with unfair claims practices in applicable states.
Maintain professional relationships with vendors while controlling expenses.
Provide customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of auto liability and property damage claims experience.
Experience with non‑standard auto claims is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in auto liability and property damage claims considered for hybrid roles.
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal, written, phone).
General working knowledge of policies, file procedures, and state rules.
Ability to pass required written examinations for licensed Claims Adjuster.
Preferred
College degree.
Prior auto claims experience.
Proficiency in online claims systems.
