Position Description
Pitch, develop and produce video content ranging from vertical videos to podcasts
Manage NewsNation's YouTube channel and social channels, reaching millions of followers from TikTok to Facebook
Develop multimedia storytelling in collaboration with editors, writers and reporters
Use emerging technologies to produce content and engage with audiences
Keep up to date on the latest trends and emerging stories to share with the larger team
Train staff members on social media best practices, use of social tools and other tactics
Qualifications
Experience creating video and social content for large brands or news media outlets
Expertise in managing video content on YouTube, including thumbnail and title best practices preferred
Strong writing skills and ability to maintain a consistent brand voice
Good editorial judgment in content selection and adaptation based on the platform
Ability to quickly edit video and photos in high-pressure situations
Knowledge of data and analytics and demonstrated ability to use that data to make decisions
Good communicator who can work collaboratively
Experience using Adobe Suite, including Premiere and Photoshop, preferred
Journalism or news background preferred but not required
Experience producing for or directing on-camera talent a plus
This position is in-office in our Chicago or New York locations. Early morning, late night and/or weekend shifts may be required.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 Annually
