Estimator

to join their growing Northern New Jersey team and play a key role in supporting ongoing and upcoming projects throughout the region. Role Summary: The Estimator will oversee all aspects of project estimation from concept through proposal. This role requires close collaboration with clients, engineers, architects, and internal project teams to develop accurate cost estimates and ensure competitive, high-quality bids. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of building envelope restoration, waterproofing, and structural repair work, and a strong ability to manage estimating processes and personnel. Project Type: Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional (Faade Restoration, Masonry Repair, Waterproofing, Structural Concrete Repair) Job Responsibilities: Manage the full estimating process from bid review to proposal submission. Collaborate with business development managers, project managers, engineers, and architects to define project scopes and identify cost variables. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment. Attend pre-bid meetings, review drawings/specifications, and coordinate RFI responses. Develop detailed and competitive bids with thorough documentation and peer review. Consult with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and scope alignment. Maintain a current directory of qualified manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Work with project managers to establish labor production rates and maintain historical cost databases. Support and uphold company safety standards in all project planning and documentation. Supervise and mentor estimating assistants and coordinate department workflow. Communicate progress, challenges, and bid strategy to upper management. Qualifications/Requirements: 5+ years of estimating experience in

waterproofing, masonry, or concrete restoration

(required). Strong understanding of

Division 7

and

Division 3

scopes and related materials, systems, and installation methods. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction estimating software. Experience preparing RFIs, reviewing contract documents, and working with AIA standard forms. Excellent communication and customer service skills. High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
