Job Summary
The Associate Brand Manager on FURminator will play a crucial supporting role in executing brand strategies and marketing initiatives that build brand equity, drive consumer engagement, and deliver business results for North America (US & Canada). This role supports the development and activation of marketing plans, supports day-to-day brand operations, and collaborates across teams to bring consumer‑centric campaigns and products to life. It is ideal for a results‑oriented marketer with strong analytical, creative, and project management skills.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Brand Planning & Execution

Develop annual brand plans for FURminator and marketing calendars

Support efforts to build long‑term brand equity, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints

Assist in translating strategy into actionable marketing plans, including innovation, promotions, media, and retail programs in collaboration with the brand activation manager

Support the execution of brand campaigns and promotions across digital, social, and retail channels in collaboration with the brand activation manager

Product & Innovation Support

Develop FURminator North American innovation initiatives including consumer research, concept development, and product launches

Collaborate with R&D, packaging, and supply chain to bring products to market on time and on budget

Assist in packaging design development, ensuring alignment with brand architecture and shelf appeal

Collaborate with Brand Activation to create DCX briefs for eComm assets that align with brand strategy, brand messaging and brand guidelines while driving sales

Consumer & Market Insights

Partner with Insights to identify and translate key trends, behaviors, and unmet needs into opportunities

Monitor category, consumer, and competitive trends in the grooming category using Nielsen/IRI, Numerator and other data sources

Conduct analyses to inform brand strategies and identify growth opportunities

Support consumer testing and research projects

Project & Budget Management

Help manage project timelines and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders in collaboration with PMO

Assist with tracking marketing budgets and agency partners to ensure efficient use of resources

Commercial Strategy & Execution

Partner with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to help develop compelling customer sell‑in stories and retail programs

Support the implementation of pricing, promotion, and distribution strategies to maximize volume and profit

Help ensure excellence in in‑store and online retail execution and consistent brand messaging, in partnership with Brand Activation Brand Manager and Trade

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with sales, shopper marketing, finance, operations, and creative agencies

Develop retailer‑specific materials and support sell‑in for key initiatives

Ensure brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints

Financial & P&L Management

Integral in helping deliver a healthy brand P&L: revenue, gross margin, A&P, and contribution margin

Education and Experience Profile
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, or related field, MBA preferred.

2+ years of progressive experience in Brand Management, Marketing, Consulting, or Strategy

Proven experience managing a business in a matrixed environment

Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with experience owning a P&L

Exceptional communication and influencing skills; ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences

Ability to lead through ambiguity and operate with independence

Required Skills

Strong project management and organizational skills

Solid analytical and problem‑solving capabilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment

A passion for pets and the consumer goods industry is a plus!
