The Video Editor is responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging video content for a variety of purposes, such as marketing campaigns, social media platforms, instructional videos, and more. They must be skilled in using video editing software, have a creative eye, and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the video production team.
Contract to hire
Key Responsibilities: Edit raw video footage and audio files into a finished product that meets project specifications
Add music, sound effects, and other elements to enhance the video
Collaborate with the producer and director to understand the project goals and requirements
Create motion graphics and incorporate other visual elements into the video
Ensure the final product meets quality standards and is delivered on time
Stay up to date with new video editing technologies and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge
Manage project files and archives to ensure efficient organization and retrieval
Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Requirements: Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of work
Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
Knowledge of video compression, encoding, and delivery standards
Familiarity with motion graphics software, such as After Effects, is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or related field is preferred but not required
