About the role

Reportingto the Vice President of Go to Market, this role will develop the category andmarket strategy across customers and regions. The Director will own the category and portfolio strategy in alignmentwith the Sales Leadership Team, Customer Innovation and the Global Industryteam. The role is a senior commercialleadership position with both strategic and operational accountability. Critical to the success of this role is thepartnership with Sales, Pricing, Sourcing & Trading as well as Operationsto ensure the short- and long-term category and customer strategies translateinto growth.

Responsibilities

Market Insights Development Integrate insights across categories and customers to deliver a coherent portfolio-level view of performance, trade-offs, and opportunities. Accountable and the US coordinator of data, analytics, and insights for key global and US products Deliver a single, reconciled, and trusted view of drivers, risks, and outlook across categories. Own product analytics priorities aligned to strategy, budgets, and the annual operating plan. Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights that inform leadership decision-making and resource allocation.

Category Strategy Own AAK US category strategy, ensuring alignment with volume objectives Lead development of customer-facing category strategies grounded in data, insights, and performance analytics Support optimization of portfolio, product rationalization, and portfolio expansion strategies Develop fact-based selling narratives and insights that influence customer Partner with Customer Innovation to shape innovation pipelines based on white space and performance analysis About you

8-12 years of progressive experience in Category Management, Sales Strategy & Market Intelligence, Business Operations or Commercial Leadership Demonstrated ownership of category performance and portfolio strategy Ability to link analytics to business strategy and synthesize insights into a clear, executive narrative as well as the ability to develop analytics capability and adoption across teams. Familiarity analyzing large datasets using basic data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, other query tools) and experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Use of CPG market intelligence tools such as SPINS, IRI, Nielsen Disciplined approach to analytics governance, quality, and execution. Comfort operating in a highly matrixed & global environment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred) Ability to travel as needed
