
Junior National Account Manager

The Junior National Account Manager supports the execution and growth of key national account relationships under the direction of the Director of National Accounts. This role is designed as a developmental position for high‑potential commercial talent, providing exposure to national customer strategy, pricing programs, and cross‑functional coordination. The Junior National Account Manager partners closely with Sales, Pricing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure consistent execution of national agreements while developing the skills required to grow into a full National Account Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
National Account Support & Execution
- Support the Director of National Accounts in managing assigned national and strategic customer relationships.
- Assist with the execution of national account strategies, programs, and pricing initiatives.
- Coordinate internal alignment to ensure national agreements are consistently implemented across regions.
- Track customer performance, contract compliance, and program effectiveness.
Customer & Commercial Coordination
- Serve as a secondary commercial point of contact for assigned national accounts.
- Prepare customer materials, presentations, and performance reviews for internal and external meetings.
- Support contract administration, pricing updates, and program documentation.
- Participate in customer calls and meetings to build account knowledge and relationship management skills.
Sales Analytics & Planning
- Analyze sales performance, volume, margin, and forecast data for national accounts.
- Support annual planning, forecasts, and budget processes for assigned accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity tracking, and account documentation.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers to support local execution of national agreements.
- Partner with Pricing, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to support customer requirements.
- Help resolve execution issues by escalating risks and coordinating follow‑up actions.
Professional Development
- Develop working knowledge of national account strategy, contract structures, and pricing frameworks.
- Build commercial acumen and negotiation exposure under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Progressively assume greater account responsibility as capability and experience grow.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of commercial experience in sales, account management, sales operations, or pricing support.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and financial data.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large or multi‑site customers.
- Exposure to national or strategic account structures, pricing programs, or distribution channels.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across cross‑functional teams.
