Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Electro‑Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate and launch novel robotics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electromechanical packaging, thermal management, and mechanism design. This candidate must have the ability to work well both independently and in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Key Job Responsibilities

Author functional requirements, design verification plans and test procedures

Execute product designs which meet the requirements

Build and test mechanical subsystem prototypes and integrated systems

Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments

Work efficiently to support rapid schedules

Basic Qualifications

Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures

10+ years of experience designing electromechanical enclosures and integrating mechanisms into robotics systems

Expert thermal management of densely packed electromechanical systems

Deep understanding of component capacities and life estimation given highly variable operating trajectories

Hands on experience building prototypes and debugging subsystems

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

Experience with the project management of technical projects Demonstrated experience collaborating with Electrical and Controls engineers

Proficiency documenting designs in accordance with ANSI Y-14.5

Experience designing and debugging tooled (sheetmetal, cast, injection molded, etc) components

Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the program

Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECO’s
